Literacy Assessment

There are literacy techniques that can aid in literacy assessment.

I find this Literacy chart most effective because it provides techniques that a proctor can use as a guide to measure literacy. Additionally, it offers the purpose of each technique, coupled with explanations of its efficiency.

The chart below is taken from: Literacy: Helping Children Construct Meaning                       (3rd ed., p. 559). by J.D. Cooper, 1997, Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company. Copyright 1997 by Houghton Mifflin Company.
